Gemini Offshore Wind Farm
The Gemini offshore wind farm will be one of the largest wind farms in the world in terms of size and production. It will be built in the Dutch part of the North Sea, 85 km north of the coast of Groningen, a location that is not visible from land, with a strong and constant wind.
Gemini will supply roughly 785,000 households with renewable electricity and will reduce Dutch CO2 emissions by 1.25 million tons per year. In doing so, Gemini will make a significant contribution to national energy independence as well as the sustainability goals of the Netherlands and Europe.
